I have peeked into the window of the dark side. I bought an iPod Shuffle today. Its SO CUTE AND
SMALL!!! I absolutely LOVE it! (yes, i realize i'm not talking about a pet. i'm a geek, never disputed that)

What's a guy to do? A friend is in a jam in a different city, a different state even. Money doesn't solve
everything but i hope it helps some.

Laughter. "Pretty Funny Chicks" comedy tour at The Improv. God, i NEEDED that. It seemed like every
person i talked to on the phone was an idiot. Whatever. The show was funny and its JUST what the doctor
ordered.

So, my ol' friend is being sent back to Iraq. Am i concerned? Definitely. Am i scared for him? Sure. Was i
about to say something crass and inappropriate next? Quite likely. He and his now-not-so-new wife are
always in my thoughts, if at least in the back with all my unsaid hopes and prayers. Be well. Be safe. And
most importantly of all, come back to us.

I'm a selfish bastard. I know this. I do not deny this when it is voiced by anyone who knows me well enough
to put that fact to words. In my own egotistical world, i have yet to learn how to let go of things i should
have let go of long ago. Kind of like a fairy tale, "Long ago, in a land far away, a man acted boy-ish and could
not let go". Ok, that sounds more like a commercial than a fairy tale. Whatever. Rant complete and
understandable for people with eyes to read.

Should i be concerned that my current television hero is a serial killer who is learning how to be human? Its
just such a great show! Dexter on Sundays on Showtime :D
